Everything started as an initial development project in 2015 for an Urgent Care client to allow mobile check-ins using Apple and Android apps. The system would notify the facility using an Email Queue. During the 2017 flu season, the app was an integral part of managing the flow of mobile checked in users, however all other facets of the patient flow process needed attention.
At this point, we decided to look at the overall process, to diagnose and dissect each step... which lead to optimizing the full process from Check-In to Check-Out.
From here we developed the CheckIns.app solution which has a check-in capability using Apple and Android mobile apps, Kiosk / iPad mode for self check-in, Website and front office check-in. We developed a unique way of managing check-ins using drag and drop from check-in to a room with a queueing system allowing customized checkin process per location to support Urgent, On Hold and Not at location with a check out process that has full analytics and visibility of the entire process.
Our mission is to use technology to increase efficiency and decrease cost of the overall patient flow and satisfaction process and to use this to increase revenue for the Urgent Care centers... and we are just getting started!
